Solid Gold Records was the pre-eminent Canadian independent record label during the 1980's featuring Canadian rock bands, "Chilliwack", the "Headpins", "Toronto" and others. Songs such as "My Girl Gone, Gone, Gone", "Watcha Gonna Do", "Don't It Make Ya Feel", and "Turn It Loud", were powerful anthems that tore up Canadian and U.S. charts. "Your Daddy Don't Know", "Lookin' For Trouble", "Girls Night Out" and "Mine All Mine" each topped Canadian charts and made Solid Gold Records a household word.
